This includes infrastructure that supports on-farm production like, irrigation, energy, transportation, pre- and post-harvest storage, infrastructure that ensures efficient trading and exchange like, tele-communications and covered markets, infrastructure that adds value to the domestic economy like, agro-processing and packaging facilities, and infrastructure that enables produce to move rapidly and efficiently from farm-gate to processing facilities and on to wholesalers.

Project Annapurna
An Integrated Food Zone, conceptualised in an area of 250 acres of land in the agriculturally vibrant Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, India, is designed to succeed with the output of one unit becoming the input of other, leading to efficient cost savings and unbeatable source advantage for the units set up in it.
Annapurna will house common facilities and agricultural infrastructure of 20000 metric tonnes of dry warehousing, state of the art quality assurance lab, 10000 metric tonnes of cold storage (both sub-zero and above zero), 100 seat farmer training centre, 7.5 MW bio mass fired power plant, reefer and regular trucks, central canteen and a crèche.
Malaxmi Agri Ventures Private Limited has entered into an MOU with Government of Andhra Pradesh during Partnership Summit 2012 at Hyderabad to develop the project.
Several well known national and international food processors have expressed interest to set up their processing units @ Annapurna. Presently land acquisition for the project is in progress.
